Mr. Miracle, also known as Scott Free, is a prominent DC Comics superhero. He is the son of Highfather, the ruler of New Genesis, and was traded as a baby to Darkseid of Apokolips as part of a peace treaty between the two warring planets. This event marked the end of the war between New Genesis and Apokolips, at least temporarily.

Raised in the horrific orphanages of Apokolips under Granny Goodness, Scott endured unimaginable torment. Despite this brutal upbringing, he refused to succumb to Darkseid's evil influence. While on Apokolips he learned from and was mentored by the master escape artist Thaddeus Brown, who passed down his skills before being murdered. Scott later adopted his mentor's name.

Eventually, Scott escaped Apokolips and fled to Earth. There, he became the world's greatest escape artist, performing incredible feats of illusion and dexterity under the stage name Mr. Miracle. He is often seen with his wife, Big Barda, a powerful warrior from Apokolips who defected to join him. Mr. Miracle's abilities extend beyond mere stagecraft; he possesses the "Mother Box," a sentient computer, as well as advanced technology from New Genesis, granting him powers such as super strength, enhanced agility, and the ability to phase through solid objects.
